The role:

As a Level 3 On-Premises Infrastructure Support Specialist, you will be a senior member of our support team, providing expert-level guidance and resolutions for complex on-premises infrastructure challenges. Supporting a client in the defence industry, you will work hybridly between the CBD, Outer Harbour, and home, and be responsible for:

• Providing advanced technical support for complex on-premises infrastructure-related issues

• Lead troubleshooting efforts for intricate infrastructure problems, collaborating with Level 2 support and other teams.

• Manage incident response for infrastructure-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.

• Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations and troubleshooting processes.

• Collaborate with clients to understand and support their advanced infrastructure needs.

 

Required skills and experience:

You’ll bring a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience providing advanced support for on-premises infrastructure technologies. This includes:

• Advanced expertise in on-premises infrastructure technologies, including server management, networking, and storage.

• Strong leadership in diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure issues.

• Effective collaboration with Level 2 support and cross-functional teams.

• Client-focused with strong communication and customer service skills.

• Proficiency in the below technologies and tools:

o VMware Infrastructure Services (vSphere 7+)

o Windows Server

o Linux Server (RHEL and Ubuntu)

o VDI (VMWare Horizon)

o Networking (Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco/Aruba switching and wireless)

o Azure Infrastructure – desirable

 

Please note these opportunities requires an Australian Citizen with the ability to pass a Security Clearance.
