Your Mission:

As our Startup Success Manager, you’ll work closely with our resident startup founders and their teams to be their trusted partner ensuring their business growth.

Role Description: 

Reporting to the General Manager, South Australia, the Startup Success Manager will be the primary point of contact for our current and prospective residents (startups within the hub) who will be your highest priority. You will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, building and maintaining relationships within our ecosystem and be someone who enjoys working closely with customers. You’ll collaborate with your local and national colleagues to find the best support and expertise for our startup community, and help drive their engagement with our programs and community events. The role is full-time, however for the right candidate we can flex to a 4 day work week.

In this start-up environment, you’ll have the chance to showcase your skills in diverse ways.

We embrace agility and a hands-on approach to accomplish tasks. Your daily responsibilities will primarily revolve around the following:

💡  Delivering startup support: You will oversee the end-to-end startup growth journey, gain a thorough knowledge of our resident’s business, and ensure startups understand and leverage the opportunities offered by Stone & Chalk, and across the innovation ecosystem, to help them grow and commercialise.

🔍  Documenting startup journey: You will be responsible for managing and measuring the progress of each resident startup, to support insights and reporting for startup leaders, internal and external stakeholders. You will map and tailor each resident’s journey, driving engagement and outcomes from relevant programs and resources.

🔊  Communicating success: You’ll be responsible for communicating residents’ success – both internally at S&C and to the broader ecosystem, by collecting and submitting content for marketing, engaging our in-person and online community, hosting and driving our community rituals like Sweetspot, and contributing to our regular reporting.

🤝  Community connection and activation: You will play a critical role of joining the dots and forming new connections amongst S&C residents, partners, experts, mentors and our investor network, as well as developing and executing experiences to foster and deepen these connections. You’ll help lead our established rituals, to sustain a supportive and inclusive environment and culture for founders and their teams to develop and grow.

About you

🧑  Experience working with startups or SMEs, and providing business development support

🗣️  Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills for engaging with residents, staff, government and external stakeholders

💼  Strong commercial acumen and ability to connect the dots to identify business opportunities

❤️  Outstanding customer service to deliver exceptional experiences and provide proactive assistance and resolve issues.

🧮  Comfort in leading collection of success and impact metrics, and owning our reporting requirements

⏳  Excellent time management and organisational skills, and ability ruthlessly prioritise to achieve outcomes.

⚖️  Possess good judgement, professionalism, and resilience in the face of ambiguity
