Lot Fourteen was honoured with two awards at the Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture (AILA) SA Awards:
Lot Fourteen State Project Lead, Diane Dixon said, “we’re excited to unveil our new park, as we continue to transform the former Royal Adelaide Hospital site into a vibrant and exciting place for the community, workers, students and visitors through activation, arts, culture and placemaking.”
“We hope our innovative organisations here will make the most of the space with break-out meeting areas, a bookable meeting pod and events spaces for collaboration.
“Lot Fourteen continues to preserve heritage and improve tree canopy and open spaces in the heart of Adelaide for all to enjoy.”
Scott Heywood, Project Manager for Innovation Districts and City at Renewal SA, attended the awards ceremony and stated:
“Lot Fourteen is a world-class innovation district, and our passionate team has done some amazing work ensuring the physical and natural environment are sustainable and reflect the spirit of excellence that Lot Fourteen is known for,” he said. “This is demonstrated by the genuine celebration of the Kaurna Meyunna culture within Kuri Kurru and the Cultural, Spiritual and Ecological Layering Report.”
“I also want to acknowledge the efforts of our landscape architect team Oxigen, as well as the cultural leadership of Kaurna Meyunna cultural custodian Karl Winda Telfer, and Gavin Malone, Tikana Telfer and Jakirah Telfer, who have done some outstanding work within Kuri Kurru and the Cultural Layering Report.”
Lot Fourteen will now progress to the National Landscape Architecture Awards to be held in October.
