Reports to: Project Manager

Location: Inovor’s Headquarters, Lot Fourteen, Adelaide.

Hours of work: Full time, 38 hours per week (negotiable)

Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience

Eligibility for, or an existing security clearance. To meet this, candidates must be Australian citizens.

We are a space company located in Australia’s first innovation neighbourhood at Lot Fourteen in Adelaide. We are a resident amongst many other innovative and high-tech companies and are next door to the University precinct and the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

With over 50 employees, we develop satellite technologies and are building several spacecraft for civilian and defence customers. We have developed a family of small satellite platforms and provide a complete turnkey satellite mission solution from mission design to spacecraft design, manufacture, integration, test, delivery and operations.

Position Broad Purpose

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our dynamic satellite technologies team. Ideally, this role is a great growth opportunity for candidates wanting to progress into a Project Manager role in the future. We also encourage applications from individuals returning from a career break, such as maternity leave, who are eager to re-engage with the field by collaborating and working with some of Australia’s brightest engineers and scientists.

Your prime responsibilities will be to:

  • Support and assist in the effective planning, coordination, preparation and execution of project deliverables.
  • Support in the planning, development and management of the project schedule.
  • Monitor project performance, analyse variances and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track, including drafting project status reports.
  • Participate in project risk assessments, including proactively identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies and facilitating resolution in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively across all teams to manage resource requirements.
  • Develop working relationships with the customers and maintain customer satisfaction throughout the project.

You will also be called upon to provide support in other areas across project management including managing budget, scope, contracts etc.

 

Reporting Relationships and Key Stakeholders

This position reports to the Project Manager.

The position will work closely with our:

  • Project Managers
  • Multi-disciplinary technical team
  • Customers and,
  • Subcontractors.

Criteria – Essential

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals who have:

  1. A degree or diploma in Science, Engineering, or Project Management.
  2. An interest and passion for the space industry.
  3. Experience in managing project schedules, ideally in MS Project.
  4. An understanding of what it takes to successfully deliver projects.
  5. An understanding of the key aspects of project management, including management of scope, budget, schedule, quality, risk, issues and resources.
  6. An understanding of managing customer expectations.

 

Criteria – Desirable

Experience in space or defence projects, particularly hardware manufacturing or technology development projects.

Fluent in Japanese
