A space educational project ‘Space Call’ will shine a light on the role space can play for the future of humanity, both from a scientific and unifying standpoint thanks to Robinson Aerospace Systems. The project engages students from seven high schools, across six continents to collaboratively build and program a space capsule to facilitate a communication exercise using LEDs and morse code – playing a game of ‘Telephone’ in their native languages. The space capsule for the project is to be launched to orbit in 2025 atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in California.
In this partnership between The Exploration Company, a leading European commercial space company, Space Elevator, a French non-profit focused on promoting diversity and inclusion in the space industry, and Robinson Aerospace Systems, an Australian edtech firm and Stone & Chalk resident who is known for developing educational satellite kits for students – Project Space Call is a groundbreaking educational initiative bringing the wonders of space to students globally.
Edward Robinson, CEO and Founder of Robinson Aerospace Systems (Australia) said, “we’re honoured to be providing the payload bus and structure that will host Project Space Call during its launch to orbit.”
“It’s been incredible to work with the students involved as they develop their electronic modules and work towards the goal of reaching space. Everyone at Robinson Aerospace is extremely excited to be hosting Space Call on our first mission to space!”
